The Ordinary Seaman observed one of the larger disc-shaped flyers approaching realizing its immense size in comparison to his own craft. Suddenly a vivid ray of energy tinged with green pierced the Guardian shield above him without warning. The fighters exploded their destruction rippling through the Guardian field overwhelming it. The cacophony of combat now pounded in the Ordinary Seamans ears no longer dulled by the Guardian field. James Spigot's final sight was numerous metallic spheres cascading from a hatch in the underside of the larger saucer. His final act was to pray.
