On the whimsical island of Obojima devices from the First Age are found in cities towns and dotting the landscape. Even in the depths of an overgrown forest one can find remnants of past technology. Many islanders have come to rely on spirit-infused vending machines to buy and sell their wares homebrewed potions and more. Seeing a coven witch ride by on a bicycle or hearing the stuttering purr of a kei truck coming down the road are some of the sights and sounds that make Obojima feel like home. Through a magical process called whelming spirits on the island can bring these relics of a bygone era to life giving them new purpose and giving many Obojimans a new means of adventuring or working. While this may feel mundane to an islander it makes Obojima a unique and charming place to explore and live.
