The Serpentfolk€”or Sekmin as they are sometimes called€”once ruled a vast empire in the Dark Lands which was torn apart and dismantled with the beheading of their god Ydersius.

Their desire to regain their lost grandeur led them to cruel genetic manipulations of their own kind with unpredictable results. Some are born Zyss endowed with innate magical powers and telepathy. Most are Aapoph powerful but mutated and stripped of their magical heritage.
