This 1000 piece puzzle by Piatnik shows a city map of the Austrian capital Vienna from 1824 after presentation by Artaria publishing house.

Plan of the capital and residence city of Vienna and its suburbs from 1824. The representation of the city fortifications is very discreet compared to the representation of the parks and shows the reduced military relevance of the Vienna city fortification on cartographic paths.

The map shows a green garden and park landscape in which the city fortification is only perceived as a transition element to inner-city installation. In the area of the castle gate there is already a stroll path with avenue trees in the city moat.
