The Essentials is the primary entry point into the Squidmar Color range: a selection of 30 paints designed to let you paint virtually any miniature using just this single set. It builds upon the experience gained from earlier Squidmar x Vallejo sets featuring a revised palette and completely reformulated paints that are easier to mix more saturated and offer greater visual impact.

It is a compact balanced selection suitable for wargaming miniatures display pieces and role-playing game characters—perfect for confident painting learning new techniques and completing numerous projects using only the paints included in the set.
