Alans expertise and experience not only in Middle-earth lore but also as a senior concept artist were invaluable to the design team. His capacity to craft immersive worlds steeped in history and emotion with nothing but a pencil and paper elevated Weta Workshops efforts in shaping a realistic and believable Middle-earth.
