Malifaux is a twisted mirror of an alternate Earth in the 1900s—defined by gothic horror Victorian structures steampunk constructs and gunslingers. 
Amid undead amalgamations vengeful apparitions and other things that go bump in the night
some still brave these near-lawless lands as the Soulstones hidden within cavernous catacombs are worth every drop of sweat and blood.

The beings humanity calls the Neverborn are Malifauxâs native inhabitants. 
Some are warped descendants of the worldâs first denizens while others are nightmarish ghouls shaped by strange spells or magically accelerated evolution. 
Many Neverborn see humanity as a blight to be purged; a rare few believe people have a part to play in greater designs. Only time will tell.
