Malifaux is a twisted mirror of an alternate Earth in the 1900s—a world of gothic horror Victorian structures steampunk constructs and gunslingers.
Amid undead amalgamations vengeful apparitions and other things that go bump in the night one still braves these near-lawless lands as the Soulstones hidden within cavernous catacombs are worth every drop of sweat and blood.

The beings humanity calls the Neverborn are Malifauxs native inhabitants. Some are warped descendants of the worlds original denizens
while others are nightmarish ghouls shaped by bizarre spells or magically enhanced evolution.

Many Neverborn view humanity as a blight to be purged; a rare few believe people have a role to play in greater designs. Only time will tell.
